Biebrzański Dar Natury
“Biebrzański Dar Natury (Nature’s Gift of Biebrza) is the land of marshy landscapes, vast peat bogs, luscious meadows, lakes and rivers, a farmer’s dream village and a rich cultural and historical heritage. This is the land where people are resourceful and welcome challenges.
This is a place to rest and make your dreams come true.”
The Local Action Group Nature’s Gift of Biebrza is an association established in 2008. It is a three-partite partnership which includes the public, social and economic sectors. The area of the LAG covers five communes located in Podlaskie voivodeship: Grajewo, Radziłów, Rajgród, Szczuczyn and Wąsosz.
The most valuable natural object of the LAG is the Biebrza National Park and its Buffer, both unique on European scale. The LAG communes are either located directly on its territory or neighbour it. Biebrza National Park protects the vast and pristine peat bogs with diversity of plants, birds and other animals along with natural ecosystems.
