Rogożynek - Ruś kayaking trail – easy trail

Rogożynek - Lipsk 7,5 km

(starting point of the kayaking trail of the Biebrza river)

A convenient place to start kayaking is on a private plot of land on the opposite of the left turn of the local road running through the Rogożynek village.

0,5 km – on the left mouth of the Sidra river

7,0 km – a bridge of Dąbrowa Białostocka – Lipsk road, after the bridge (on the right) there is a canal leading to a camping site

7,5 km – A managed camping site in Lipsk (owned by Municipal Culture Centre, phone no. 087 6423586). A marina, swimming pool, regional museum, accommodation for tourists

Lipsk - Kamienna Nowa 16,6 km (24,1 km)

0,4 km – return to the Biebrza river

11,6 km - on the left mouth of Kamienna river

16,4 km – a road and rail bridge (to the Ostrowie Biebrzańskie station. 1 km)

16,6 km – on the left bank, a free camping spot in Kamienna Nowa. 3 km from the river, there is a Biebrza National Park forester’s lodge – Trzyrzeczki and “Las” (“Forest”) educational path

Kamienna Nowa - Podhorodnianka 14,2 km (38,3 km)

3,2 km – on the right mouth of Lebiedzianka river

13,1 km – a bridge of Białystok-Augustów national road

14,2 km – on the left bank a campsite – owner: J. Siebiedzińska, phone no. (087) 641 21 79; huts, sauna (banya), roof shelter; shop; meals; showers; manned car park; rental of kayaks, canoes, rafts, mountain bikes; transport of tourists and equipment;

Podhorodnianka-Sztabin 1,1 km (39,4 km)

1,1 km – on the right bank a free camping spot in Sztabina (host: UG, phone no. 087 643 97 50), a memorial room of Karol Brzostowski in the Primary School, a museum, accommodation for tourists.

Sztabin - Dębowo 18,2 km (57,6 km)

4,7 km – on the left bank there is the village of Dwugły, abutments of destroyed bridge of the Suchowola-Augustów road

10,3 km – on the left bank there is the village of Jagłowo, having interesting wooden buildings, located on dune surrounded by peat bogs

11,9 km – a bridge of the Jagłowo-Dębowo-Mogilinice local road

18,2 km – Dębowo – a campsite by the lock (host: W. Chorążewski, phone no. 087 641 30 27, a grocery store, information boards concerning the Augustowski Canal

Dębowo - Dolistowo Stare 8,8 km (66,4 km)

0,5 km – on the right there is the mouth of Augustowski Canal, 350 meters form the Biebrza river, there is a lock on the Augustowski Canal (kayaking trail of the Augustowski Canal, Czarna Hańcza and Rospuda)

1,9 km - Jasionowo

3,7 km – on the left mouth of the Brzozówka river

8,2 km – wooden road bridge

8,8 km – on the left, there is a camping site in Dolistowo Stare (owner: Commune Administration Office, phone no. 085 716 80 13). A historical church from the end of 18th century. Numerous accommodation facilities for tourists.

Dolistowo Stare - Wroceń 6,3 km (72,7 km)

5,9 km – a fork of the river, right branch leads to a camping site.

6,3 km – on the left bank, there is a campsite in Wrocenie (owner: T. Dembowska, phone no. 085 738 39 26), rooms for guest.

Wroceń - Goniądz 11,7 km (84,4 km)

3,4 km – mouth of the Ełk river on the right

7,5 km – Dawidowizna village on the left

11,6 km – a concrete bridge in Goniądz

11,7 km – on the left bank, there is a campsite in a resort in Goniądz (phone no. 085 738 00 18, open from April to September, rich offer of accommodation for tourists, grocery shops.

Goniądz - Osowiec 7,4 km (91,8 km)

2,4 km – Szafranki village on the left

6,8 km – wooden road bridge in Osowiec

6,9 km – on the left there is a canal leading to a camp site

7,4 km – Biebrza National Park campsite “Bóbr”. On site: bathrooms with showers, roof shelters and windbreaks, water equipment rental, educational paths of the local Field Education Centre (towers and platforms, educational boards). Approximately 1,5km to the Centre of Education and Management of the Biebrza National Park with exhibition rooms and tourist information point, where it is possible to purchase books and souvenirs.

In the Osowiec Fortress, there is a Osowiec Fortress Museum (Osowieckie Towarzystwo Fortyfikacyjne / Osowiec Fortification Society, phone no. 600 941 954), railway station, bar, grocery store.

 

ATTENTION! In the period from 1st January to 30th June, to be allowed to take the section from Osowiec (road and railway bridges) to Brzostowo, a visitor must have not only the Biebrza National Park ticket, but also a kayaking permission.

Osowiec - Biały Grąd 14,3 km (106,1 km)

0,5 km – return to the Biebrza river

1,2 km – road and railway brides

2,7 km – on the right, there is the mouth of Rudzki canal (kayaking trail „Łaźnej Strugi” from Borecka Forest)

8,6 km  - fork of the river (the main bed runs left)

14,3 km – on the right side, after the cutoffs, there is the “Biały Grąd” campsite with an observation tower. 3,5km to the village of Mścichy and a grocery store.

Biały Grąd - Brzostowo 22,7 km (128,8 km)

12,1 km – Pawłowa Hill on the right

13,6 km – on the left there is the mouth of meliorated Kosódka river

14,7 km – on the right there is the mouth of Wissa river

22,7 km – on the right bank there is a campsite in Brzostowo, having roof shelter, observation tower and rooms for guests (owner: T. Konopka, phone no. 086 472 14 97). Approximately 2km from there, in the village of Mocarze, there is a grocery store.

Brzostowo - Burzyn 6,0 km (134,8 km)

2,5 km – a ferry crossing next to the Mocarze village

6,0 km – a campsite in Burzyn, observation tower and a grocery store are on site

Burzyn - Ruś 10,9 km (145,7 km)

4,0 km – on the right bank there is Rutkowskie village

7,0 km – on the right bank there is Wierciszewo village

8,5 km – the river joins with Narew river, near a medieval fortified settlement named Sambory

10,9 km – on the right there is Ruś village, before the Białystok-Łomża road bridge. A convenient place to end the kayaking. A bar and rooms for tourists are available on site.
